Porsche Introduces New Entry-Level 911 Carrera Coupe and Cabriolet

Porsche is launching the new base models in the 911 coupe and cabriolet range. The new eighth-generation 911 was unveiled at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show with the release of the 911 Carrera S and Carrera 4S models. The 911 Coupe and Cabriolet will be equipped with a 3.0 litre biturbo 6-cylinder boxer engine which will generate 380 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a new 8-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. The coupe will accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.0 seconds, with a top speed of 293 km/h. The optional Sport Chrono Package will reduced those runs by 0.2 seconds. The Cabriolet achieves 0-100 km/h runs in 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 290 km/h. Stopping power in all four corners is provided by 330-millimetre brake discs with black, four-piston monobloc fixed callipers.

The new 911 Carrera Coupe starts at CAD $111,000. The 911 Carrera Cabriolet starts at CAD $125,600.

The new models can be ordered now and are scheduled to arrive in Porsche dealerships in early 2020.The all-wheel drive version will be available soon.
