Hyundai Unveils All-New Veloster and Veloster N at 2018 CIAS

TrackWorthy - 2018 CIAS Veloster N

The all-new 2019 Hyundai Veloster and Veloster N were unveiled at the 2018 Canadian International AutoShow. On hand for the unveilings were Donald Romano, President and CEO of Hyundai Canada, and Jean-François Taylor, Product Public Relations Specialist at Hyundai Canada.

This is the first time Hyundai has released an N model in North America. The i30 N is available in Europe and Asia but not sold in Canada or the United States. N stands for the two locations where the performance line was developed and tested: Namyang, Korea and at the famed Nürburgring race circuit in Germany.

The Veloster N has an exclusive N-design front fascia and grille with dedicated front air ducts for great brake cooling, exclusive N-design rocker side sills and lightweight 19-inch alloy wheels fitted with 235/35R19 Pirelli P-Zero summer tires. The Veloster N has a larger N-design rear spoiler, rear fascia design with integrated diffuser, and a high-flow dual exhaust. The Veloster N has a direct-injected turbocharged engine pumping out 275 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque and will be available this fall. Pricing has not been released yet.

Race fans can see the Hyundai i30 N TCR in action this summer in the United States in the Pirelli World Challenge racing series.
