“I find the 100th Chiron especially pleasing,” said Stephan Winkelmann, President of Bugatti Automobiles. “It is dynamic and elegant in equal measure. This car shows that Bugatti produces highly individualized masterpieces of automobile craftsmanship that are simply unparalleled.”
This particular handbuilt 1,500 hp hypercar has a unique configuration with the outer skin consisting entirely of dark blue carbon with a matt finish, which is a first. The paintwork of the Bugatti side line is in Italian red and the wheels are in a contrasting mink black. The full-leather interior is predominantly red. The price of this car is about €2.85 million or about $4.28 million Canadian. The base price is roughly $3.75 million Canadian. Therefore, when you do the math, this car has more than half a million dollars’ worth of options and customization.
“The Chiron is a highly individualized masterpiece of automobile craftsmanship,” said Winkelmann. He expressed his pride in the Bugatti team which produces these supercars with passion and professionalism day after day.
The fuel consumption figures are not for the faint of heart. The urban cycle is rated at 35.2 litres per 100 kms. All of that fuel is being pumped into a quad-turbocharged 8 litre W16 engine. The new BUGATTI two-stage turbocharging system generates 1,500 hp and 1,180 lb-ft torque, with an almost linear power curve between 2,000 and 6,000 rpm. The Chiron has a top speed of 420 km/h and can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 2.4 seconds.
