Bentley Motorsport has signed on with championship-winning team K-PAX Racing, which will race three Bentley Continental GT3 cars in the 2018 Pirelli World Challenge. The driver lineup will be announced in the coming weeks.

“I’m delighted to welcome K-PAX Racing to the Bentley Motorsport family,” Said Brian Gush, Bentley’s Director of Motorsport. “They are a team with an impressive and proven track-record in the Pirelli World Challenge, and we’re looking forward to working with them. The Continental GT3 has had another successful season and we’re confident it will continue to challenge for national and international titles in 2018.”

K-PAX Racing, owned by Jim Haughey, has won the Pirelli World Challenge drivers title four times and the manufacturer title three times. They have worked with leading manufacturers and, after evaluating the market-place, program manager Darren Law chose to embark on a working partnership with British luxury car maker Bentley.

“Racing in the Pirelli World Challenge for the last few years has been a great experience and has produced tremendous results,” comments Law. “At the end of each season, we evaluate the performance of our team and our program as well as what the future looks like. With the introduction of the new Bentley Continental GT3, we see a lot of potential. Currently, we are in the process of finalizing K-PAX’s 2018 driver line-up and will be making an announcement soon. We look forward to joining the Bentley Motorsport family and continuing our success beginning with next season.”

K-PAX Racing will run three current Continental GT3s in its first season with Bentley. The 4.0-litre turbo-charged V8-powered race car has just completed another successful season, securing both the British GT Championship and Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup Teams titles to add to the two GT Asia Series Teams and the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup Drivers trophies that already line the cabinets in Crewe.

The Pirelli World Challenge makes its one stop in Canada in May 2018 during at the Victoria Day SpeedFest Weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, which is about an hour north-east of Toronto.

Based in Sonoma California, K-PAX Racing has a achieved a total of 107 podiums including 43 wins, 4 Driver championships and 3 Manufacturer Championships. In the GT Class K-PAX has fielded Porsche 911 GT3s during the 2007–2008 seasons, Volvo S60s during the 2009–2013 seasons, and McLaren 650S GT3s from 2014 to 2017.

In November, Bentley Motorsport announced plans for a second generation Continental GT3, which it will roll out to its global customer teams from mid- to late-2018 following an extensive testing program.
