The new 2024 Acura Integra Type S is the best performing Integra ever offered according to Acura. Under the hood is a DOHC turbocharged 2.0-liter VTEC inline 4 cylinder engine with 320 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 310 lb-ft of torque from 2,600 to 4,000 rpm. That is 120 hp and 118 lb-ft more than the standard Integra.
For the first time, the Integra Type S has a center-mounted exhaust with three large tailpipes. In Sport+ mode, the exhaust soundtrack is amped to the max with the new high-flow systems that provides lots of “pops and bangs” according to Acura.
The short-throw 6-speed manual transmission, which feeds power to the front wheels, offers automatic rev-matching. Helical-type limited-slip differential (LSD) and a performance-tuned Adaptive Damper System are also standard. Stopping power is provided by 4-piston 13.8 inch Brembo ventilated front disc brakes and 12.0 inch solid rear disc brakes.
The Integra Type S is 2.8 inches wider than the standard Integra thanks to its beefy fender flares. Inside the wheel wells are lightweight 19 x 9.5-inch Shark Gray rims that are 2 pounds lighter than the smaller 18 inch Integra A-Spec wheels. Wrapping those 19 inch rims are 265/30 R19 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S high-performance summer tires.
The new Integra Type S has a dual-axis front suspension design with a 3.5 inch wider front track and 1.9 inch wider rear track than the standard Integra. Available Acura Accessories include a carbon fiber rear lip spoiler, carbon fiber mirror caps, black illuminated front Acura badge, copper metallic 19-inch wheels and an Integra Type R-inspired titanium shift knob.
