Jaguar launched the F-Type in 2014 offering it with 4, 6 and 8 cylinder engines. It was given a significant facelift in 2021 and the 4 and 6 cylinder engines were dropped to make it a more focused performance car. The 2022 F Type R is available with the P450 V8 with 444 hp and either rear wheel or all-wheel drive, and the P575 with 575 hp and all-wheel drive only, rear-wheel drive isn’t available.

Our stunning 2-door coupe is bathed in Sorrento Yellow Ultra Metallic Paint which is a $6,100 option. This colour makes a very big statement. If you want to tone it down a bit, there are lots of other colours to choose from including the classic British Racing Green which is an $850 option.

The 2022 F Type R 575 has a 5 litre supercharged V8 engine that produces 575 boisterous horsepower and 516 lb/ft of torque. Launches from 0 to 100 km/h occur in around 3 and a half seconds on the way to a top speed of 300 km/h.

Base price for the 2022 F-Type R 575 is $121,400 in Canada and around $105,000 in the United States. The P450 rear-wheel drive starts at around $90,000 in Canada and just over $70,000 in the US.

Options on our car included the Blind Spot Assist Pack, with Blind Spot Assist and Rear Traffic Monitor for $600, Meridian Surround Sound System for $1,050, Gloss Black 20” rims for $550, Exterior Design + Black Pack for $1,700, Fixed Panoramic Roof for $1,300 and Black Brake Calipers $550.00, red is standard. $13,000 of options, plus fee and taxes means that it takes about $155,000 to get this 2022 Sorrento Yellow F Type R off the showroom floor.
